Elytone was founded in the early 1970s by Tony Chow as a family-run trading company. Located in the heart of Taipei's Daan District, Tony and his family began their humble start working out of their home office, an office that is still in service to Elytone to this day.

As the business grew, Elytone needed more manufacturing space, so it expanded into a larger factory also located nearby the family home. The business continued to grow throughout the 70s and into the following decades, but the competition was getting fierce amongst Taiwan's heavily dominated OEM/ODM companies. This prompted Elytone to seek overseas manufacturing and set up shop in China in 1993 to remain competitive and serve its growing customer base. In spite of heavy competition and cost cuts due to overseas manufacturing, Elytone has not only survived 40+ years of a healthy business, but it has thrived.

Although Tony is no longer with us, it is fitting that he was a music lover, and was known for being an honest and respectable businessman — values the family-owned business holds dear today. Today, Tony's eldest son Brent runs the organization and is committed as ever to producing highly customized, quality audio and magnetics components that some of the world's most recognized audio, HiFi and power supply brands have come to know and rely on.
