Peak Amplification Expands GaN Audio Platform at Infineon Taiwan 2026

On May 6, Infineon Technologies hosted the Infineon Taiwan 2026 GaN Application & Technology Conference, bringing together engineers, partners, and system designers to explore the latest in GaN applications and power technology.

As an Infineon associated partner, Peak Amplification, a division of Elytone, joined the event’s demonstration area to present its expanding GaN amplifier platform.

Showcasing its latest amplifier modules, Peak Amplification highlighted how GaN technology enables better performance, cooler operation, smaller modules. Our GaN amplifiers set a new reference for audio performance with up to 20x lower THD and 2x lower noise - with 96% efficiency.

What We Showcased – New GaN Amplifier Modules

Designed as a compact single-channel amplifier module for flexible system integration, the new AM-200C1G demonstrates how GaN can deliver high power density, excellent efficiency, and ultra-low distortion in a remarkably small footprint.

• At 100W constant output, 4Ω test, 88°C, no heat sink
• At 200W output power, 95.8% efficiency
• Rated load impedance: 2Ω to 4Ω (can drive 8Ω at lower power)

Built for higher output applications, the new AM-500C1G extends Peak Amplification’s GaN platform with higher output while maintaining GaN’s compact, cool-running, high-efficiency advantages.

Peak Amplification: New GaN Amplifiers

The new GaN amplifiers AM-200C1G and AM-500C1G are single-channel designs intended for vertically oriented carrier board implementations, enabling flexible multichannel system architectures.

Developed using GaN technology from Infineon Technologies, these amplifiers are designed for applications where higher output, reduced heat, and smaller form factors are required while also delivering optimal audio performance. The modules pair Infineon’s CoolGaN™ transistor IGB110S10S1 with the MERUS™ IRS20957S Class-D controller to deliver high power density, switching efficiency, and audio fidelity.

From Demonstration to Expansion

Following strong interest in the AM-400C2G showcase at Infineon OktoberTech™ Taipei 2025, this year marked the next step in Peak Amplification’s GaN journey.

With the introduction of the AM-200C1G and AM-500C1G, Peak Amplification is expanding its GaN amplifier platform—bringing compact design, high efficiency, and scalable performance to a broader range of audio applications.
